The afternoon we couldn’t remember
There’s a photo we love of a golden dog on a hillside, ears blown sideways, looking back at the camera as if to say are you coming? It’s one of the best pictures we have of him. And for a long time, we couldn’t have told you where it was taken.
We remembered the feeling. We didn’t remember the place, who else was there, what we’d eaten, or the ridiculous thing he did ten minutes before. Those details had been there once. Somewhere in the years of ordinary days, they slipped away.
When you lose a pet, you scroll. Everyone does. And what we found in that scrolling wasn’t a shortage of photographs — there were thousands — but a shortage of stories. The photos remained. The stories around them were fading.
Not a book about loss
We could have made a memorial book. We decided to make the opposite: a reason to go out today. To take the walk you almost skipped, the road trip you keep postponing, the photo in the good light — and then, before bed, to write down the little things while they’re still sharp.
So we wrote 100 invitations. Some are small: an ordinary Tuesday, the window view, a slow Sunday. Some are adventures: a new trail, a first road trip, the first snow. Each one has its own page, with a frame for the photograph and space for what a photograph can’t hold: who joined you, what happened, the funniest moment, the part you never want to forget.
Made to be lived, kept and printed
We built Your Pet Memory as an interactive book that opens in your browser, because that’s where our photos already live. You add pictures in seconds, type your memories, mark each experience complete, and save your own copy — your words and photos, together, in one file that’s yours. And because some memories deserve paper, it prints beautifully too, and comes with a printable PDF.
It’s for dogs, cats and every kind of companion. It’s for new puppies and grey-muzzled seniors. Most of all, it’s for the people who already know: one day, these ordinary moments will become your favorite memories.
